What’s New With iOS 15?

If you’re wondering what’s new with iOS 15, it’s not only about new features. It also has some fixes that will make your mobile device easier to use. There are some new VoiceOver features in iOS 15, too. These include Grouped Navigation, which groups screen items by similarity, like the messages list. But it’s still a work-in-progress. For now, it doesn’t group items by category yet. You’ll still have to hit the touchscreen to interact with the messages list.

The new iOS 15 is poised to raise the bar on communication and productivity. Apple has completely redesigned FaceTime to feel more like a social experience, yet simultaneously refined it to feel like no other video calling app. It offers a wonderfully fluid experience with rich visuals and high-quality sound. But that’s not all: with the new Apple Pay Cash™ you can send money with just iMessage on iPhone or iPad. iOS 15 will increase your control over notifications so you can stay focused on what matters most. With the new Do Not Disturb feature, a set schedule, or customized set of contacts and apps, you can silence notifications when they become a distraction.

FaceTime

iOS 15 introduces dozens of new features and enhancements to FaceTime. Spatial audio, for example, helps users distinguish voices on their speakers and headphones while chatting, while Voice Isolation uses machine learning to reduce background noise. Wide Spectrum audio, meanwhile, lets users intentionally include background noise.

Wallets

One of the biggest features coming to Wallets in iOS 15 is ID in Wallet. Apple announced the feature before the September Apple Event, but the release date was delayed. This new feature lets you store your driver’s license or state I.D. on your iPhone. While this feature was supposed to be available at launch, Apple had to change its release date due to other factors.

Photos

One of the new features in Photos with iOS 15 is Visual Lookup. This feature helps you identify objects in photos and can help you find more information about the object. You can use Visual Lookup to search for people, places, and things in your photos. However, the feature is not available in all regions and requires a device with an A12 Bionic chip.

Memories

iOS 15 brings new features to the Memories app. These include an interactive interface that makes it easier to customize memories. You can also add animations to your memories. There are also new international holidays and child-focused Memories. The pet Memories have also been improved.

Do Not Disturb

Do Not Disturb is a feature in the iOS, iPadOS, and macOS operating systems that helps you to get uninterrupted sleep and concentrate on your work. While this feature can be toggled on and off, iOS 15 has made it easier to bypass it when you need to be interrupted by an important call. This feature has been present on iOS for several releases, but iOS 15 adds more functionality for emergencies.

Notifications

iOS 15 brings new ways to stay connected and reduce distractions. It also includes new on-device intelligence and more ways to explore. The new version of the operating system also brings many changes to iMessage and Safari. You can expect to see more natural FaceTime, more useful features for voice calls, new microphone modes, and the ability to share media.

iOS 15, now in beta, includes three new capabilities: the ability to seamlessly access Siri; a feature within Wallet called Business Chat that offers instant answers or a place to start a conversation with a business about a product, offer, or question; and enhancements to both Spotlight Search and Safari that make it easier for users to find information.
